When a young person has a driver’s licence they have greater access to employment, training and leisure activities. The City has partnered with the RYDE program to offer accessible and supervised driving opportunities to young people aged between 16 and 25 in the northern corridor.
Young people can access the Joondalup RYDE Program to complete their 50 hours of supervised driving before receiving their provisional licence, some conditions apply. Driving sessions cost $15 for a 90-minute booking and are paid for using PayPal. The RYDE program will operate from the Joondalup Library with different session times available seven days a week. The program will use a late model car with five-star safety standards
Young people looking to access the Joondalup RYDE Program should contact their nearest RYDE provider here.
