If you meet the basic criteria to supervise a Learner Driver, are willing to view an online induction video, and pass the relevant Police Clearances, you could get involved with RYDE as a Mentor. The Mentor role can be a rewarding experience as you build positive relationships with Young People, and assist them to achieve their goals.
Volunteering within the RYDE Program as a Driving Mentor may offer a rewarding experience through sharing tangible, real-world skills which serve to directly assist disadvantaged Young People. The role involves not only the sharing of expertise in negotiating the roads, but also the development of supportive trust relationships as you partner Learner Drivers to the complete their compulsory supervised hours.
